Subject – Complaint against sad state of pollution
Dear Sir,
I would like to express my views on the sad state of pollution of all sorts in Parkview colony. Kindly include it in the columns ‘Letter to the Editor’ of your esteemed Daily.
Recently air, water and sound pollution in this colony has crossed all limits. The increase in the number of smoke – spewing vehicles has added misery to the life breathe in fresh air without contracting some respiratory disease. Equally distributing is the fact that mounds of garbage are seen all around. The piped water gets contaminated due to leakage at many places in the water supply line. The sound pollution has also become alarming. The loudspeakers blare kirtans, Bhajans and film music all the twenty – four hours. A peaceful sleep has become a dream only.
I urge the authorities to enforce the regulations vigorously to check this proliferation of pollution. I am afraid, if nothing is done in this direction, some diseases are likely to erupt.
Yours faithfully,
XYZ.

Subject: Request for setting up a dispensary at Pappan Kalan
Dear Sir,
I want to bring to your kind notice that our village Pappan Kalan doesn’t have a government dispensary. Khera Kalan is a big village of Delhi. It has twelve thousand people living in it. There are two Senior Secondary Schools and a Primary School here. But the village has no government dispensary.
The villagers suffer a lot of difficulties and inconveniences of want of a dispensary here. The sick are left at the mercy of some quacks and private practitioners who left fleece them. Can’t handle serious cause and due to that the people face much difficulties. Quite often some ailments have resulted into fatal ones when these are handled by these private practitioners.
I, therefore, earnestly request you that a government dispensary be set up in this village at earliest. A resident MBBS doctor should be made incharge of this dispensary. It shall prove a great relief to the villagers, who will be ever obliged to you.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully,
XYZ

Write a letter to Road Transportation Authority requesting to build a Bus shelter at your colony in 300 words.

SUBJECT: REQUESTING TO CONSTRUCT A BUS SHELTER IN SAHAKARNAGAR
Respected Sir,/Sir,/Respected mam,/Mam,
(Anyone of the above can be used depending on the gender)
I,
Rakesh kumar, am a resident of sahakar nagar-lane 4. This is the letter to draw the attention of Hyderabad Road and Transportation authority towards the construction of new bus shelter for the Sahakar nagar.
As it is known that shakarnagar is the newly formed gated community which is located near the secretariat . Initially there was no stop to our gated community, but after writing letter regarding the request bus stop to our sahakarnagar with immediate response a new stop was created. People of sahakarnagar will be thankful for the immediate response from the RTA. But after creating new bus stop where there is only a sign board indicating it is a request bus stop it is creating a confusion that where the bus will be halted exactly and some drivers just slow down the bus without stopping at the request bus stop. If a permanent bus shelter is built for us then there would be proper halting for buses and even for passengers, it will be helpful for all the seasons.
Keeping the above in the view, I hope RTA-Hyderabad will initiate necessary steps towards the construction of the new bus shelter.

Thanking You,

Yours Faithfully,
Rakesh Kumar.

Sub: Condemning wide spread corruption and declining moral values amongst public men.

Sir,

Kindly public the following few lines in the columns of your esteemed daily. I will be much obliged.

India is passing through a bad phase. A country of saints and sages is today becoming known for its corrupt leaders. A large number of public men are involved in scams and kick-backs. Corruption appears to have become the order of the day. There is hardly any political leader who can be cited as an ideal for the younger generation. Moral values are now taken as an ignoble trait. Public men in high places pay scant regard to decency, decorum or discipline in public life. The politics of defections and crime is deteriorating.

These days, people have been oblivion regarding a respectful image of the country. To attain so called power and fame, they do not even hesitate to lose their ethics. This needs to be extirpated before it’s too late and our country be notorious for such deplorable acts. Our country and its leaders have always known for their spirit of honesty, truth, non-violence, charity and sacrifice. We must learn to uphold those values in social life and should participate in every act contributing to the country in being corruption free.

Thanking you
Yours faithfully
Tanisha Khanna

Q) Write a letter to your younger brother advising him on Saving Money & being financially aware.

Dear Shreyas,
How are you? I hope you are doing fine, here mother and father are also doing well. It’s been a while since we got in touch so I finally decided to write you a letter. You seem to be having such a great time in your new college and city that you chose to stay back in college even during vacations.
Yesterday father paid your credit card bill, he didn’t say a word but I could sense how disappointed he was! Not like an elder sister but a friend I would advise you to check on your expenses. I understand the enthusiasm of being all by oneself in a new city, the fun in roaming around with friends as I have been there and done that. It is good to step out in the world and live to the fullest but at the same time, we have to be judicious.
Parents are willingly paying for all the expenses as they don’t want you to lose any opportunity and experience but it is you who should be taking care of how wisely the money is used. Try to be holistic in approach and define your priorities. Chalk out a list of your daily expenses and strike out all the unnecessary once, try to stick by the list for a week or so gradually you will be able to cut down the extras.
As they say “a penny saved is a penny earned” therefore, handle the money given to you with maturity and yet continue to live life king size as the best things in life are free. At the end, I would like to wish you all the luck with your studies and other endeavours. We all miss you badly so try to come as we all can’t wait to see you.
Yours Loving,Shreya

Q) Write a letter to your civic body asking permission to send garbage trucks frequently in your residential area.

Dear Mr Raghav Shinde,
Subject: Request letter to send garbage trucks.
I live in Ghatkopar West area, For the past 1 year I have been complaining about the filthy roads of this area but every time my efforts goes down the drain as the concerned department fails to take any action. The garbage trucks have become an out of the ordinary thing in this area as they seldom arrive.
The situation is getting worse day by day as now not only the beauty of the landscape but the health of the residents is getting affected. The mound of garbage serves as a breeder of mosquitoes. The foul smell filled in the air around is solely responsible for a headache and nausea reported by the residents. People living on the ground floor are majorly affected as the heaps of garbage lie just outside their kitchens or living areas because of which children and aged people find it hard to breathe.
The best one can do in this regard is making the garbage trucks more frequent in this area from thrice a month to all days in a week. It will take time for this area to go back to what it was therefore, I would request the authorities to take an intense and long-lasting step for the upliftment of this area.
I request you, sir, to kindly do the needful and make up for the long period of not doing anything before it is too late.
Yours Faithfully,
Ms Aneri Singh
